I got a call on a Monday from a woman sitting in a dentist parking lot off Oceanside Boulevard, right in the Loma Alta area. Her 2017 Azera was giving her a key-not-detected warning and the push-button start had stopped responding. She had already tried holding the fob closer, tried it from different angles. Nothing.

I straightened the clip, seated a fresh CR2032 correctly, and tested all four buttons before I even touched the diagnostic equipment.
The fob came back to life right there. Touch unlock on both front handles worked. Start button responded on the first press. We ran through every function before I packed up.
She didn't need a new key programmed. She needed someone who would show up that day, open the fob properly instead of just swapping the battery blind, and actually check the hardware. The dealer quote would have been a lot more than what she paid, and she would have waited four days to find that out.
