His Smart Key, FCC ID KOBJTF10A, was a 5-button smart key. On his model year the AKL stayed OBD-based without needing a bench pull of the KVM.
His car started in the same trailhead lot. Total was around $389. Dealer would have been roughly $693 plus a tow from a trail parking area no flatbed was reaching. He was pretty amazed it could all happen at a trailhead.
