2021 Jaguar F-Type Smart Key Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional
People underestimate how fast one key becomes a real problem on a car like this.
A fitness instructor in San Ysidro, in the Beyer Blvd Corridor, had a single key to her 2021 Jaguar F-Type. Bought the car used, the seller handed her one fob, and she figured she'd get a spare eventually. Eventually never came. Then at just after five in the morning, before a dawn class, the key housing split at the seam and the blade snapped off trying to get the door open manually. Key body in one hand, blade stuck in the lock cylinder. No backup.
I got there while it was still dark.
First thing was the blade in the lock. Got that out clean without any damage to the cylinder. The housing on the original fob was cracked through, but the circuit board inside was intact and readable. That mattered a lot. On an all-keys-lost job with nothing to read from, the process is longer and more involved because the immobilizer has to be handled from scratch. But here, the old board gave me what I needed. I transferred the functional components into a new shell, programmed a fresh fob to the vehicle through the diagnostic port, and tested every function before I left.
She made her 5:30 class. When she came out after, the car was right where she left it, locked, and her key worked like it was new.
The dealer quote she had looked up the night before was not close to what I charged. Not even in the same neighborhood. And I came to her.
