2012 Jeep Liberty Remote Head Key Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional
A traveling salesman pulled onto the highway shoulder outside Solana Beach and his 2012 Jeep Liberty key fob died mid-trip. He was between cities, the vehicle wouldn't restart, and his next client meeting was in two hours. Stranded on the shoulder on a weekday evening with no working key.

I used my VVDI2 to read the transponder data from his dead fob and transfer it to a new unit, which meant I could salvage the transponder data and avoid a full all-keys-lost reprogram. His replacement fob, FCC ID OHT692427AA, was a 5-button smart key that I built, cut, and programmed at the shoulder under my work lights.
He was back on the highway in under an hour. Total was $185. Dealer would have been $395 whenever they opened next. When you're stuck on the shoulder at 6pm, dealer hours don't matter. What matters is someone picking up the phone and showing up with the right tools.
