2013 Kia Forte Smart Key Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional
A night shift ICU nurse in Casa de Oro called me on a Tuesday morning, right after she got off a long shift. She'd been standing in a parking garage in Spring Valley looking at her 2013 Kia Forte.
She needed a spare key and had done her homework before dialing. She told me she'd looked up my license on the BSIS site before calling, because the last locksmith she used had no verifiable credentials and the phone number went dead not long after.
That kind of due diligence is exactly right, and I told her so.
She wanted a working spare, programmed properly, with no loose ends. I came to her, pulled up the security data through the correct authorized channel, registered the new fob to the vehicle's immobilizer, and verified every button before closing up. The doors, the trunk release, the panic function, all of it tested on site before I left.
She asked what the dealer had quoted. I told her to call and find out for comparison. She already had, and she mentioned it was quite a bit more, plus a wait of several days. She looked tired in the way only night shift nurses look tired, and she just nodded.
She drove home with a spare key that actually worked. That's the whole job.
