It was a Thursday evening out near the Viejas Area in Alpine when I got the call. She had been at one of the spots off the main strip when her bag was taken off the back of her chair. Keys, wallet, everything. She borrowed someone's phone to call the police, then her husband, then me.

Then I registered two new smart fobs from scratch, cut the emergency blade for each, and walked every function: door handles, the start button, both fobs in sequence. I stayed until everything checked out the way it should.
She drove home that same night with two working keys. The dealer would have made her leave the car, wait nearly a week, and pay significantly more. The stolen fob is nothing but a plastic rectangle now.
