2001 Porsche Boxster Key Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional
I was over in East Lemon Grove on a Tuesday, parked in front of a house off Massachusetts Avenue, when a guy walked out holding a key blank he had already tried at a hardware store. It looked right to him. It did not work right.
He had a 2001 Boxster sitting in the driveway with a worn original key that had gotten to the point where some mornings it would catch and some mornings it would not. He made a copy, the copy was worse, and now he was not confident in either one.
I pulled out my decoding tools and read the lock directly instead of copying the worn blade. Got a clean cut from a proper blank. Turned it in the ignition, turned it in the door, no hesitation.
He asked about the dealer route out of curiosity. I told him they would want the car brought in, possibly a wait for the blank to be ordered, and the cost would be a chunk more than what he paid me. He was back in the Boxster in under an hour, and I was on to the next call.
