A polo club member at an equestrian center outside Lemon Grove needed exactly that. He texted me his GPS pin. I drove out with everything for his Boxster already loaded. I used my ACDP to read the KESSY module data as a backup before working. His fob, FCC ID , was a 3-button car-shaped smart key. I cleaned the sand-damaged fob, tested the electronics, and when the antenna board was dead I swapped the data to a fresh fob and programmed it on-site.
His car started on that gravel lot. Total was around $95. A dealer would have charged $200 plus a tow from an equestrian center no flatbed was reaching quickly.
