2009 Porsche Boxster Key Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional
She was at a shopping center near Carmel Mountain Ranch in San Diego with her son after dinner when her bag got snatched in the parking structure. Keys, wallet, phone, gone. Her son called the police from his own phone, then called his father, then they found me.
Her 2009 Porsche Boxster was sitting in that structure with no key at all. Her husband called the Porsche dealer. The dealer told him it would take several business days, that the car would need to be towed in, and that the security system would need to be fully reset so the stolen key could no longer start the engine. The estimate he got was not small.
I drove out that evening. All-keys-lost on one of these means I clear the old key data from the immobilizer so the stolen key is permanently dead to that car, then enroll new keys from scratch. I decoded the lock mechanically, cut a fresh key to the vehicle, handled the immobilizer enrollment on site, and had everything tested well before the police finished taking her report.
She drove home that night with her son. Two working keys, stolen key completely locked out of the system. The dealer was talking about a multi-day wait and a tow. She didn't wait and she didn't tow.
The dealer comparison wasn't even the point for her. Getting home safe that night was the point.
