Because the original chip data was salvageable, I didn't need a full KESSY bench read, which saved time and money. His fob, FCC ID , was a 3-button car-shaped smart key that I rebuilt into a new housing with the chip data cloned to a fresh board. I showed him the chip from the cracked fob so he could see it was still good.
He made his 5am session. Total was around $95. Dealer wanted $200. If you still have the broken pieces, bring them. The chip inside a cracked Porsche fob is often still readable and saves significant time.
