I got a call from a property on the edge of Rancho Santa Fe Village, one of those long private driveways where the Boxster was sitting in a detached garage. The owner had snapped his only key in the ignition cylinder. Half the blade was still inside.

I extracted the broken section first, which is the part that takes patience. Once it was out, I decoded the remaining blade fragment, cut a fresh key to match, and tested it in the door and ignition before I called it done. Turned clean on the first try.
He mentioned on the way out that he had called the dealer before calling me. They told him it would be a tow, a shop day, and a wait on a parts order. He did not have a week to leave the car sitting. That is the part of this job I genuinely like: the car stays put, the work gets done on site, and the owner drives out the same day.
