2007 Porsche Boxster Key Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional
I got a call from a guy in Santaluz on a Sunday afternoon. He had a 2007 Boxster sitting in his driveway and a key that had seen better days.
The blade was worn enough that it would start the car maybe six times out of ten. Sometimes it would turn, catch, and fire right up. Other times it would just sit there spinning the starter with no ignition. He had already tried the spare and found out the spare was in worse shape than the original.
He called the dealer first. They told him to bring it in, and the earliest appointment was the following Thursday. He was not thrilled about that.
I drove out to Santaluz with my cutting equipment. Decoded the existing blade on site, cut a fresh key to match his vehicle, and verified it against both locks. The car started on the first try, and the second, and the third. He tested it himself a few times just to be sure.
He mentioned the dealer quote almost as an aside. He had expected to pay a lot more and wait a lot longer. The whole thing was done in his driveway in under an hour, on a Sunday, for a fraction of what the dealer route would have cost him.
