2004 Porsche Boxster
Key Replacement - Save vs Dealer in San Diego

2004 Porsche Boxster Key Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional

Nestor is quiet at 5am. That's when I got the call.

A personal trainer was parked in the lot near the Otay Mesa gym, forty minutes before his first client, and his key was gone. Not broken, not in the car. Just gone from his gym bag somewhere between his apartment and the parking lot. One key. He'd owned the 2004 Boxster for two years, bought it used, always meant to get a spare cut, and never did.

He found me, I was already running calls in the area, and I pulled in about twenty minutes later.

The job itself was simple. I decoded the door lock cylinder, confirmed the cut, and had a new key made on site. No tow truck, no waiting room, no appointment booked three days out. He was unlocked and driving before the sun was fully up.

The thing he kept saying was that he expected this to be a whole ordeal. He'd already looked up the dealer and was prepared for a bad answer. What he got instead was a key in his hand in a parking lot before dawn, for a fraction of what he'd braced himself to spend.

Get the spare made. That's all I told him when I left.
