2010 Porsche Boxster Key Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional
A photographer was working a shoot out near the Brown Field area of Otay Mesa when his key gave out on him. Not a dead fob, not a drained battery. The emergency blade snapped inside the door lock. He had been forcing it into a cylinder that had barely been touched in years, the lock was stiff, and the tip broke clean off.
He called a locksmith before he called me. That locksmith told him the lock would need to be drilled, the cylinder replaced, the whole cylinder set reordered to match. The estimate he got was not small. He decided to make one more call.
I got out there with my extraction tools and worked the fragment out without touching the cylinder walls. Once it was out, I decoded the lock right there on site. Read the cuts, cross-referenced, and cut a replacement key blade to match his vehicle.
The cylinder looked exactly the same when I left as it did when I got there. No drilling, no damage, no parts on order from overseas. He was back shooting before the afternoon light changed.
He mentioned the other locksmith's number almost as an aside, like he still could not believe the difference. I did not have much to say about that. The job spoke for itself.
