2005 Volkswagen Passat Remote Flip Key Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional
She was an optometrist with an office in Downtown Oceanside, and she told me upfront she'd looked me up before calling. Previous locksmith, no license she could verify, key failed in two weeks, no way to reach anyone afterward. She wasn't hostile about it, just direct. She wanted to see credentials before I touched the car.
I showed her my BSIS license right there in the parking lot. She photographed it. That was fine with me.
The job was a spare remote flip key for her 2005 Passat. The car had its original working key, so this was an add-a-key situation, not all-keys-lost. I cut the replacement blade to match her existing key, then connected to the OBD port and ran the key registration sequence, which on these older Volkswagens requires the factory security code to authorize a new key into the immobilizer. Once the new key was accepted, I tested ignition start, then went through every button on the flip remote, lock and unlock twice each, and the trunk release. Everything came back clean.
She asked what the dealer had quoted. I told her to call them and compare. Whatever they said, she'd come out ahead.
She got a real receipt with a real license number and a real phone number on it. That was the part she cared about most.

“Showed up fast same day service, was able to come up with a cost effective solution for my VW broke flip key blade which was much cheaper than the dealer. No surprises price that was quoted over the phone was the price charged. Friendly professional and affordable- highly recommended.”
“Showed up on time and was very helpful. He met me in a difficult spot so I was very appreciative of that as well. I definitely recommend using this service in the future.”
