I got a call from a guy in Carlton Hills, over on the east side of Santee. He had a 2000 Volvo S40 he bought used about three years back. Came with one key, he always meant to get a spare, and then one morning the key just stopped working. Not lost, not broken. Just stopped being recognized. He asked about a spare while I was still there. We did a second key on the spot. Took about an hour total for both.

He mentioned he had called the dealer earlier in the week and was quoted a number that made him pause before he even asked about a second key. He paid a fraction of that for two keys done in his driveway.
