Do you need to tow your 2004 Volvo Xc70 to the dealer? For most Volvos from the mid-2000s through about 2020, no. I handle all-keys-lost right at the car.

His total was about $221. The dealer would have been $431 plus a tow and a wait until business hours. There are some very new Volvo platforms that require VIDA subscriptions and dealer-level software for AKL, and those do go to the dealer. I'll tell you that up front before any charges. But for the majority of Volvos currently on the road, I do all-keys-lost on-site regularly.
