The VVDI Key Tool writes the correct immobilizer data onto a blank chip so the car accepts it as a registered key. Because her old flip key's circuit board was still intact inside the cracked housing, I was able to read the chip data and skip a full all-keys-lost reset. Her fob, FCC ID , was a -button flip key that I rebuilt into a new shell with a fresh blade and the salvaged electronics.
She went from zero working keys to two in about 40 minutes. Total was 95. The dealer wanted 200. If you still have the broken pieces, bring them. The Megamos chip inside a cracked flip key is often still perfectly good.
