An architect in Ventura, over in Mission San Buenaventura, called me from the third parking level of a high-rise garage. Her 2005 S4 was down on P3 and she had zero working keys. The dealer told her to get the car towed in first. Problem was, no tow truck could make the tight turns and clear the low ceiling on the lower levels. So she was stuck. Car locked on P3, no key, no way out.
I drove my van into the garage, squeezed it onto P2, and walked down a level with my kit. Her car has the Immo3 system with the Megamos 48 chip, which means the immobilizer data lives inside the instrument cluster. I connected my VVDI2 through the OBD port, pulled the login/SKC through the service mode read on the cluster, and generated a fresh ID48 chip value matched to her car.
Built the whole key right there on the concrete. Cut the HU66 blade on my mobile machine, loaded the transponder, assembled the 4D0837231P flip shell with a new CR2032, and programmed the remote. Tested lock, unlock, trunk, panic, then fired the engine.
Her car never moved an inch until she drove it out herself. The dealer quote assumed a tow that was never going to happen. I just walked downstairs.
