2015 Audi S4
Key Replacement - Save vs Dealer in Ventura County

2015 Audi S4 Smart Key Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional

A guy staying at a hotel near Mountclef Ridge in Simi Valley called me on a Saturday evening.

He had been at a conference all day, the valet brought his 2015 Audi S4 around, and somewhere between the conference room and the valet stand, his only fob had vanished. Probably still sitting on a table in a locked room. The hotel concierge had already done him the favor of calling the dealer, who confirmed they were closed until Monday and that this was not a job for a locksmith.

He called me anyway.

I got there and the car was exactly what I expected: push-button start, no mechanical key slot to fall back on, no way to do anything without a fob the immobilizer recognized. From a bystander's view, the car is completely inert. No turning anything, no jumping anything, no workaround. The immobilizer module has to be accessed, its security data read out, and new key data generated from that before any fob will be accepted.

I ran the process on-site. Read the module data, sent it to the calculation server, got the return file, generated a working key, completed the OBD learning sequence. The whole thing happened in a valet lane while he stood there watching.

When the car started, he was quiet for a second, then said the concierge was going to hear about this.

He asked what the dealer would have charged. I kept it simple: a lot more, and not until Monday.
