1996 Buick Regal Metal Key Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional

When a 1996 Buick Regal key is done wrong, it doesn't just "kind of work." It fails. Buick's theft-deterrent system is particular about chip types. On older PK3 models, a wrong transponder triggers a solid security light and the PCM cuts fuel. On newer smart key models, a cheap aftermarket fob might lock and unlock fine but force you to use the backup pocket every time you start.

A set designer at the warehouse district in Oxnard had a key made by another locksmith for his Regal that stopped working after about five days. It would start cold, but after driving and shutting off, the next start would fail with a security light.
