A dentist in Ventura, over near Chumash Park, called me on a Wednesday around 11 AM. His 2001 Buick Regal was sitting in the practice lot with the security light glowing solid and "Starting Disabled" across the DIC. He had patients stacked the rest of the day and zero ability to leave.

I got to his lot during his lunch block. Pulled the lower dash panel and checked the Passlock II sensor wiring at the ignition housing. The connector behind the cylinder had a loose pin, just enough play that the Body Control Module on that car, the Delphi unit behind the glove box, wasn't seeing a clean resistance signal. Reseated the pin, cleaned the connector with contact cleaner, then plugged into the OBD-II port and ran a full Passlock relearn through the BCM. The security timer takes its time, about ten minutes per cycle, and the BCM needs to store the learned value.
After the relearn completed, I tested his L2C0007T remote. All three buttons, lock, unlock, and trunk, came back online. Engine fired clean, no security light.
He walked out after his 1 PM patient to a car that just started. The dealer had quoted him days of wait time plus a tow. He paid a fraction of that and never left work.
