A woman called me from a parking garage off Scripps Ranch Boulevard. Her 2010 Audi S4 was sitting on P3. She had one key, the original remote flip key, and at some point that morning it stopped communicating with the car. The fob would not unlock the doors remotely. I tested the remote functions, tested the start, walked the locks. Everything came back clean.
She asked me afterward what the dealer would have done differently. Honestly, the programming process is the same. The difference is that the dealer needs the car in a bay, during service hours, after a parts order clears. I was already there.
