2016 Audi S4
Key Replacement - Save vs Dealer in San Diego

2016 Audi S4 Key Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional

Out in South Oceanside, near the older residential stretch close to the strand, a woman called me on a Sunday afternoon. She had been home all morning and somewhere between the front door and the driveway, her 2016 Audi S4 key vanished.

Not lost in the usual way - actually gone. She had a second key once, years ago, but it walked off with a former roommate and never came back.

She told me the dealer had told her previously that a replacement would take time to source and schedule. She wasn't interested in repeating that experience on a Sunday when she had somewhere to be.

I pulled up to her block in South Oceanside with the van stocked. The S4 was sitting in the driveway. I decoded the lock, cut a replacement key blade to match, and tested it in the driver door and the ignition. It turned clean on the first try.

She asked me what she owed, I told her to call for pricing before any job, and she said she wished she had called me the first time instead of the dealer. I've heard that one before.

The whole visit was well under an hour. The car never left the driveway.
