I got a call from a guy in the Bayside area of Imperial Beach. It was past 1am, his only fob for the 2023 XT6 had stopped responding, and the SUV was sitting in his driveway going nowhere. He had already started pricing flatbeds for the morning and figured the whole job was a dealer situation.

The whole call, door to door, was under two hours including drive time. He mentioned the dealer had quoted him a wait until the next available appointment plus a tow. That gap, the tow, the wait, the markup, was the part that surprised him most. Not that a locksmith could do it, just that I was already done before the dealership would have even opened.
