I was parked off North Broadway in Escondido when the call came in. A guy had found me through YouTube before he ever needed a locksmith, which is exactly how I like it.
He had watched a Ford key replacement video, saw the tools laid out on the hood, saw the process start to finish, and saved my number. When his 2024 Ranger fob started misbehaving, he did not have to wonder what the job looked like or who was going to show up.

Everything read out correctly, no drop in signal history, no mismatch. The original battery had just gotten low enough to cause the hiccup without fully dying.
Sometimes the job is a new battery and a clean contact surface. That is not a lesser job. That is the right diagnosis done on site instead of a tow and a dealer appointment.
He already knew what the process looked like before I arrived. The only surprise was how fast it wrapped up.
