I got a call from a woman in the Fernbrook area of Ramona on a weekday morning. She had her 2007 Envoy sitting in the driveway and her only working remote had stopped unlocking the doors from more than a few feet away. She thought the whole system was failing.

She didn't need a new remote. The dealer was never part of this conversation, but if it had come to reprogramming, she would have been looking at a trip across town and a wait. Instead I was done before she finished her coffee.
