Up in Mt. Helix, the streets wind and the driveways are steep, and I pulled up to a house where a 1998 Hyundai Tiburon was sitting in the driveway with its owner standing next to it looking frustrated.

The remote portion of the head needed pairing to the vehicle. These late-90s systems are not complicated, and the procedure came together without drama. He tested the lock and unlock buttons himself, standing there in the driveway with the key in his hand.
He mentioned the dealer had quoted him a wait and a number that made him go looking online instead. I didn't ask what the number was. He saved a good chunk, and he had a working key before I backed out of his driveway.
