A property manager in the Lake Poway Area called me on a Tuesday morning. He had a 2011 Lincoln MKZ sitting in an office parking garage with no working key. He had already called the Lincoln dealer and gotten a quote that made him pause. Then they mentioned towing, and he paused even harder.

It is not complicated if you have the right equipment, but it is also not something you can do with a basic code reader. Once that handshake cleared, I programmed the new remote head key and confirmed all three buttons were live: lock, unlock, and trunk. Then I cut the blade to his vehicle so the mechanical side matched the electronic side.
Start to finish, about 30 minutes. He went back to his desk for most of it.
