Ford's PATS system requires a 10-minute security wait before it accepts new keys, so I walked her through what was happening while the timer ran. Her key, FCC ID M3N-A2C31243300, was a 5-button remote that I built from scratch in her driveway.
Her car started in the same spot. Total was around $337. Dealer would have charged $611 plus a tow from a location no flatbed wanted to drive to.
