A guy flagged me down through the contact form from a parking lot near RB Town Center. His 2001 Town Car had been sitting for a few months after his only key got damaged -- the plastic head had cracked and someone had taped it back together badly. The key still turned. I cut a new key blade to his vehicle on site, transferred the process to a proper blank with a working chip, and got everything enrolled through the immobilizer. First crank after that, the car started and held idle like it hadn't been touched in four months -- which, effectively, it hadn't.
He said the dealer told him over the phone it would take a week minimum because they'd have to order parts. That wasn't even the part he needed. I was done in under an hour in the parking lot.
