Out near the CSUSM area in San Marcos, I got a call from a Quest owner who was parked at one of the side lots off Twin Oaks Valley Road. She had just done a school drop-off run and the van would not acknowledge the fob at all. Touch the handle, nothing. Walk up to the door, nothing. She asked if I needed to reprogram anything. I told her no, the fob was fine, the van was fine, the battery was just done. No programming, no new hardware, nothing dramatic.
She mentioned the dealer had quoted her a full fob replacement and programming when she called them earlier that morning. She saved a good chunk by the time I left. And I was on site in under twenty minutes from when she called.
