2007 Porsche 911 Remote Flip Key Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional
The call came in from Bressi Ranch, over near the newer office park off Palomar Airport Road. An office manager at a plastic surgery practice had texted me the VIN before I even left my previous job. The boss's 2007 911 needed a spare, and she had done everything right: VIN, proof of ownership, and the existing working key waiting on the desk.
That working key changes everything on a job like this. With a 997-generation 911, having one enrolled key present means I can add a second without going through the longer all-keys-lost process. I had the correct blank prepped in the van on the drive over.
When I pulled up I confirmed the fob style, matched my blank to it, and got to work. I wrote the transponder data to the new chip, cut the flip blade to the vehicle, and ran the programming sequence to register the new key with the immobilizer. Then I tested every function: doors, ignition start, remote lock and unlock.
Start to finish, including the walk-through and testing, was under thirty minutes. The office manager barely had time to finish her coffee.
I handed over a fully working spare with documentation on file. If anything ever needs re-syncing down the road, I have the records. No hunting around, no guessing.
