2016 Porsche 911 Smart Key Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional

I'm already in Del Mar with Porsche key blanks, flip shells, car-shaped smart fob housings, ID46 and ID49 chips, CR2032 batteries, and programming tools loaded in the van right now. I don't order parts when you call.

A couple at the cocktail lounge near Del Mar Village on a Friday night came out at 10:15pm to find their 2016 Porsche 911 wouldn't respond to the key fob because the CR2032 battery in the smart key was dead. They didn't know about the emergency blade hidden inside the car-shaped fob and figured the car was stuck there until Monday.

I was 15 minutes away and I had the right blank for their Smart Key already stocked. Their fob, FCC ID KR55WK50138, was a 5-button car-shaped smart key that needed a fresh battery and a quick re-registration through OBD to reset the KESSY pairing. The fob came back online and the engine started on the first press of push-to-start.

They drove home that Friday night. Total was $389. Dealer would have been $712 plus a wait until Monday.

Much longer than you would think. Porsche dealers order keys by VIN from Germany. A 911 owner waited a month or two. A 2024 Porsche owner waited about a week. A Cayman S owner was told 2 to 3 months.
