Got a call from a guy in Nestor, just off the Otay Mesa side, who had locked his only key inside his 2009 FJ Cruiser. Not the spare. The only key. He'd been using the same key for fifteen years and never made a copy because it never came up. It came up.

He mentioned the dealer had quoted him a wait time of several days just to get an appointment, plus a tow since he couldn't drive it in. We were done in the parking lot in under an hour, and he left with two working keys for the first time since he bought the truck.
