A 2018 Chevrolet Malibu key replacement with me happens right where your car is parked. It's around 293, and that covers the key, the cut, and the programming. Dealer charges closer to 496 for the same job plus a tow to get there.

A renter at his apartment complex near Blanchard Community area called the dealer first. They quoted him 496 for a replacement smart key and told him to tow it in. He'd lost his spare and figured that price was just what Chevy keys cost now. I told him it wasn't even close and that I could be there in about 20 minutes.

So I parked at his building and used my B111 Lishi to decode his door lock and read each wafer position for an exact blade cut. His fob, FCC ID HYQ4EA, was a 5-button flip key with an ID46 transponder chip inside. I cut the blade and programmed the chip through the OBD port in about 35 minutes.

His total was 293. That covers the key, the cut, the transponder programming, and me driving to his apartment. The dealer wanted 496 plus he would have needed a tow. Same key, same chip, same programming. Different price.
