The truck started immediately once the WIN module relearned the fob.
He made it to his next building on time. Total was 95. The dealer would have been 200 the next day plus a tow. The problem wasn't the fob at all. It was a dying battery that caused the WIN module to lose its key registration. That kind of diagnosis is exactly why I carry multiple tools. The first assumption isn't always the right one.
