Push-to-start all-keys-lost is the job that scares most Honda owners the most. No physical key slot, no way to "just turn the ignition." The car needs to wirelessly detect a fob that's programmed to its specific immobilizer before it will even wake up. If that fob is gone, the car feels bricked, but it isn't.
A photographer at a canyon overlook lot outside Fillmore had a 2007 Honda Pilot with push-to-start and zero keys. On some Honda models, that means doing a full IMMO reset that touches the steering lock and PCM. I used my ACDP to pull the immobilizer data as a safety backup, then ran the AKL sequence through OBD. His smart key, FCC ID CWTWB1U545, was a 3-button proximity fob.
His car started at a canyon overlook with no cell service and no dealer within 30 miles. The total was around 91. The dealer route would have been 201 plus a long-distance tow. Smart key AKL isn't dealer-only, it's tool-dependent. He was pretty amazed it could all happen right there.
