Got a call around 11 PM from a guy in Fillmore, over near the Heritage Valley Tourism Bureau area. Overnight security guard, one key to his name, and it stopped working. His 2006 Pilot was parked in his townhouse garage and wouldn't turn over. He had already resigned himself to a tow and was mentally rearranging his whole week.

Drove out, pulled into the garage, and got eyes on the situation. His remote head key, the CWTWB1U545 three-button, had a transponder that the car's immobilizer just wasn't reading anymore. The chip side had given up even though the mechanical blade still turned the ignition cylinder. Classic G-chip failure on these first-gen Pilots.
I connected to the OBD-II port and ran the Honda all-keys-lost procedure through my programmer. Cleared the old key data from the immobilizer module, cut a new 35111-S9V-325 blank to code, and registered the fresh ID46 transponder. Then synced the lock, unlock, and trunk remote buttons. Whole thing done under the garage light while his dog watched from the doorway.
He kept looking at the ignition like he expected it to quit again. It didn't.
