Near Lake Los Carneros, there's a stretch of park where people fish and walk dogs and generally lose track of small objects. That's exactly where a guy lost his only key to his 2012 Honda Pilot. He'd had it since he bought the truck used, one key, never made a spare. By the time he called me, he'd already retraced his path twice and checked with the park staff. Nothing.

The Pilot was sitting in the lot. He needed to get home to Goleta that evening, and the dealer's earliest appointment was Monday.

I pulled up, decoded the lock mechanically, and cut a fresh blade to match. Then I connected to the OBD port, ran the all-keys-lost sequence, wiped the old key from the system, and registered the new remote head key as the primary. First crank, it started clean.
