Out in Dos Pueblos Canyon in Goleta, a guy's 2010 Pilot key snapped clean inside the ignition. The blade broke right at the bow where the plastic meets the metal. He called another locksmith first, and that shop told him the ignition cylinder would need to be drilled out and replaced. New cylinder, new keys, the whole deal.
He called me for a second opinion.
I got out there and pulled my HO01 Lishi tool. Slid it into the keyway alongside the broken fragment and walked it out without touching the wafer surfaces inside. No scratching, no forcing. Once the broken piece was clear, I decoded the lock right there by reading each wafer position one by one. That gave me the exact bitting, no original key needed.
Cut a fresh HO01 blade, set the KR55WK49308 remote head shell around it, and programmed the ID46 transponder through OBD. The immobilizer accepted the new chip on the first pass. Tested ignition, tested all four buttons on the remote, locked and unlocked from 30 feet out.
His ignition cylinder is the same one Honda installed at the factory. No drill marks, no replacement parts, no dealer tow. He sat on his tailgate scrolling his phone for most of it. When I handed him the new key, he turned it in the ignition like he was waiting for something to go wrong. Nothing did.
