I used my TOY43R Lishi to extract the broken fragment without touching the wafer surfaces. I decoded the lock from the readings, cut a fresh blade, and programmed the chip through OBD. His key uses a separate remote, FCC ID HYQ14FBA, so the fob was fine. He just needed the new blade and transponder.
No drilling, no cylinder swap. Total was 356. The other locksmith's destructive approach would have been 644 or more with a new cylinder and reprogrammed keys. His original lock works with the new key exactly as before.
