A guy in Seven Oaks called me on a Tuesday afternoon. He had his 2017 BMW 7 Series parked in his building's garage and one working key. He wanted a spare cut and programmed before that one key became a problem, not after.

I decoded the door lock to get the blade cut, cut a replacement key blade to the vehicle, and used my tooling to communicate with the vehicle through the OBD port and register the new fob to the immobilizer. The whole job ran about 45 minutes in the garage.
He watched the whole thing and asked a lot of good questions. He wanted to understand why having a second registered key actually matters for all-keys-lost recovery down the road. That part of the conversation probably took longer than the programming.
He paid a fraction of what the dealer quoted, never moved the car, and left with two working keys. The dealer never came up again after that first sentence.
