Out in Harbison Canyon, east of El Cajon, a guy called me from the parking lot of a medical office. He'd just come out on crutches after a procedure and his 2009 Buick LaCrosse wouldn't start. The key turned fine, engine cranked, and then died right away. Classic immobilizer behavior.

He asked if he should call the dealer about the other key. I told him the original was probably still good, just bring it by and I can verify it's still enrolled. He seemed relieved he didn't have to arrange a tow or a ride across town. That part, getting the work done where the car sits, is the whole point of what I do.
