2004 Buick Regal
Key Replacement - Save vs Dealer in San Diego

2004 Buick Regal Remote Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional

A dentist called me from his practice lot in the Richland area of San Marcos on a Wednesday morning. Patients booked back to back all day, and his 2004 Buick Regal was sitting in the lot not starting. The security light was on solid. He could not leave, could not tow the car mid-shift, and could not afford to lose the whole day chasing this down.

He had already tried the key a few times before he called me. That is usually what people do. Each attempt was resetting the security timer, which was making the wait longer every time.

I came over during his lunch window. I verified the transponder in his key blade was reading correctly, then connected through the OBD port and ran the theft-deterrent relearn through the body control module to clear the lockout state. His three-button remote came back online at the same time. Locks, trunk release, all of it.

He walked out after his one o'clock patient and drove home. The dealer would have meant an appointment, possibly days for parts, and towing the car in. He saved a good chunk and did not miss a single patient.
