She called from South Poway on a Tuesday morning. Red-eye from the east coast, back in town, parked in long-term. The fob had completely died somewhere between takeoff and landing, and the Flex was sitting locked with no response to anything.

No reprogramming needed. No fault codes that stuck around once the fob had power again. She was on the road before most people had finished their morning coffee.
The dealer would have had her car sitting on a lot until Thursday, plus whatever towing ran. She skipped all of that and paid a fraction of what that whole chain would have cost.
