Out on North Broadway in Escondido, I got a call from a guy who had been driving his 1999 Discovery with a single key for about two years. He knew he should have had a spare made. Then he lost it in a parking lot and suddenly that procrastination had a real cost attached to it.

When it fired up clean on the first try, he just sat there for a second. Then he asked me to cut a second key while I was at it. Smart move the second time around.
