2024 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross Key Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional
I got a call from a guy in South Poway who had found me on YouTube a while back. He watched a Mitsubishi key video, saw the whole process from start to finish, and saved my number. He told me later he liked knowing what the job actually looked like before he called anyone. That stuck with me.
His 2024 Eclipse Cross remote had been getting shorter and shorter on range over the past few weeks. Not dead, just unreliable. He would walk out to the car and have to stand right next to it before the doors would respond. He had already tried a new CR2032. Battery was fine. The range problem stayed.
When I got to him, I pulled the remote apart and looked at the battery contacts first. One of them had a slight bend outward from a previous battery swap, not making clean contact with the new cell. Straightened it, reseated the CR2032, and the range came back immediately. Tested lock, unlock, trunk release, and the fourth button, then walked the car from about 35 feet. Solid every time.
He did not need a new remote programmed. He needed someone who would actually look at the hardware before assuming it was a software problem. That is the difference between the right fix and an unnecessary one.
