Push-to-start all-keys-lost is the job that scares most Ram owners the most. No Fobik slot, no way to just twist a key. The truck needs to wirelessly detect a smart fob programmed to its RF-hub before it will even wake up. When that fob is gone, the truck feels bricked, but it isn't.
An out-of-town poker player at the casino parking structure in Santee on a Saturday night had a 2013 Ram 1500 with push-to-start and zero keys. His only smart fob disappeared between the poker room and the elevator. The valet told him smart keys were dealer-only. The dealer was closed until Monday.
I drove to the casino. Push-to-start AKL on Ram is more involved because the RF-hub and security gateway both need to be addressed. I used my ACDP to pull the immobilizer data as a backup, then ran AKL through OBD with a gateway bypass cable. His smart key, FCC ID GQ4-53T, was a 5-button proximity fob.
His truck started in a casino parking structure on a Saturday night. Total was around $185. Dealer would have been $395 plus a multi-day wait that would have stranded him out of state. Smart key AKL isn't dealer-only. It's tool-dependent.
