A guy in the Seven Oaks area of Rancho Bernardo had just picked up a used 2005 Scion tC off a private sale. Clean title, decent shape, one key. The seller mentioned getting a spare would be easy. He figured a Scion from 2005 would be cheap parts.

He left with two working keys. The dealer comparison came up again as he was pocketing the spare. I just told him having a second key now means any future job is a simple add-a-key. Without it, that same job gets a lot more involved on this generation of vehicle.
