A driving school student in Santee reached out on a Wednesday morning. He had a road test at 3pm and his fob had stopped working the night before. He had been using the emergency blade to get in but the push-button start was not responding. The Toyota dealer was 25 minutes away, could not see him until Friday, and the whole thing would have meant missing the test entirely.

I connected my programmer, ran the key registration sequence for the vehicle, and verified every function: door handles, lock, unlock, and start. Total time on site was around 20 minutes.
He left for his road test with a working key. He saved a good chunk compared to the dealer quote he had gotten, and more importantly he did not miss the test.
