He was at the bar in Oxnard after his shift and his jacket was gone off the back of his stool. Keys, wallet, badge, everything. He's an off-duty firefighter. He borrowed the bartender's phone and called the police first, then his wife, then me.
His 2008 Dodge Dakota was in the bar lot with zero keys. The dealer told his wife they could order a Fobik but it would take 3 to 5 business days, the truck would need a tow, and they recommended rekeying since the stolen key could still open the doors. Combined estimate was over $700.

I used my IM608 to access the WIN module, erase all stored key data, and program two new Fobiks from scratch. His Fobik, FCC ID KOBDT04A, was a 4-button unit. I decoded the lock, cut the blade, and had both keys working before last call.
He drove home that night. Total was 185 for two new keys. The dealer estimated 395 plus a tow and a multi-day wait. The stolen Fobik is dead to the truck.
